Physical Therapist / PT - Physical Therapy

Outpatient Physical Therapist
This is a 13-week contract position.

MW 7-5, TTH 8-5, F: 7-1

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. They are responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensure the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves and performs other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.
Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
Document care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, in compliance with policies and procedures.
Ensure care provision under signed, valid physician orders within insurance approvals as needed.
Participate in student programs and provide a supportive learning environment.
Create and actively pursue an individualized professional development plan.
Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
Demonstrate awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives and follow through with action plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Experience in orthopedics is preferred.
