Head Of Quality Control & Quality Assurance

Job OverviewThe Quality Control Manager oversees all food safety and quality assurance systems across the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This role leads the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of food safety programs, including SQF and HACCP systems, and manages training initiatives to ensure alignment across all facilities.Participate in R&D processes for new products, including regulatory approval of product labels and verification of nutrition and ingredient information.Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the SQF system, including food safety fundamentals and plans.Manage plant HACCP reporting, including data collection, procedure development, and record keeping.Perform plant floor activities such as audits, documentation updates, and compliance checks.Facilitate and deliver food safety and quality training programs for new hires, supervisors, and management.Manage supplier control programs, including documentation and compliance tracking.Partner with plant personnel to maintain compliance and improve food safety processes.Monitor adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and product specifications.Support continuous improvement efforts across food safety and quality programs.Things you need to be able to do:Strong knowledge of HACCP-based food safety systems (HACCP Certification required).Experience with SQF systems and food safety program implementation.Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, FSMA, and Seafood HACCP 21CFR123).Experience working with third-party auditors, customer inspections, and regulatory agencies.Ability to develop, implement, and audit SOPs and food safety procedures.Knowledge of sanitation programs, pest control, and microbiological testing requirements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).3-5 years of experience in the food industry (import experience preferred).Experience with customer complaint tracking systems and feedback programs.Experience managing multi-site food safety programs.What we think you’ll love about Gourmet Foods International:Stay Impactful: Play a key role in ensuring food safety and product quality across multiple facilities.Career Growth: College tuition reimbursement and advancement opportunities.Gain exposure to regulatory compliance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.Team Environment: Collaborate with operations, quality, and leadership teams across the organization.Bonus, Incentives & Company-Provided ResourcesEligible for performance-based bonuses tied to individual and company success.Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.Gourmet Foods Benefits include Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Accident Insurance.
