Full Time Emergency Veterinarian- Overnight

An established, AAHA-accredited multi-specialty veterinary hospital in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join its 24/7 ER team!

This AAHA accredited hospital provides round the clock emergency and critical care alongside a full range of specialty services, giving you the support of a genuinely collaborative, multi disciplinary team. You will be joining a team of 20 veterinarians, including 8 board certified specialists across surgery, internal medicine, anesthesiology, and emergency medicine, alongside a large group of experienced technicians and support staff.

The hospital is equipped to handle complex and critical cases, with a fully staffed ICU, in house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, and CT imaging on site. Working within such a specialized team means cases can be escalated and managed collaboratively rather than in isolation, giving you real support for even the most challenging presentations.

A major expansion is underway, with a 20,000 square foot specialty addition due for completion in 2026. This will bring new neurology and cardiology specialists on board, along with an MRI scanner, a second CT scanner, a linear accelerator, and expanded surgical suites, offering plenty of scope for professional growth in the years ahead.

The schedule typically runs three to four shifts per week on a rotating basis, including nights and weekends, with a minimum average of 33 hours required for full time status.

Compensation is highly competitive, with base salary negotiable depending on experience and a strong benefits package to match.

About You:

DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree from an accredited university

Hold or be eligible for a Veterinary State License in Tennessee

Ideally you will have some experience in emergency medicine

Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment

Strong communicator who works well within a larger collaborative team

Base salary between $130,000 and $175,000 plus production, with no negative accrual
