Human Resources Rep - Recruitment

The HR Assistant is responsible for supporting the Human Resources Department at Mastery. They will support onboarding of new hires, benefits enrollment, and maintaining accurate employee records, in addition to other responsibilities as noted below. They must be exceptionally organized, as well as customer friendly.
Support the on-boarding process for new hires including updating new hire documents, distributing paperwork to new hires, data entry of new hires, and compliance verification.
Assist in efforts to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal labor and human relations laws.
Maintain new and existing employee personnel files including legal documentation, such as clearances, and certifications.
Strong customer-service and communication skills
Solid Excel and data management software skills
Experience in K–12 education, public education, charter schools, or historically under-resourced school communities preferred.
Experience with PA/NJ Teacher/Administrative Certification a plus
Associates degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and/or 1-3 years relevant HR and administrative experience
Ability to physically perform the essential duties of the role as outlined above, and to work in the environmental conditions required, such as traveling to network campuses, monitoring and interacting with students, in-person facilitation of trainings, etc.;
This role may require frequent travel between multiple locations. Bonus and Salary Information:

External candidates hired for this role are eligible for a $1,000 signing bonus as well as up to $5,000 for relocation expenses !
The HR Assistant at Mastery can expect a starting salary between $43,700 to $51,700, based on education and experience, with opportunities for growth as your career progresses.
