To ensure access to quality health care services for American Indians and other peoples and to promote health education and wellness."

To treat and educate patients in the control and prevention of oral disease such as caries (cavities) and periodontal (gum) disease through proper oral hygiene and regular professional care.

Performs dental prophylaxis, removing deposits (plaque, tartar, and stain) from the teeth.

Instructs patients using effective communication techniques on proper dental health and oral hygiene.

Maintain dental equipment and inventory.

Follow universal precautions and all Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) requirements to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Ability to facilitate, supervise, and motivate the effective provision of high‑quality dental care.

Knowledge and respect of American Indian culture.

Associate's degree in dental hygiene

Competence in operation of standard dental equipment: cavitron, prophyjet, use of EMR (EPIC) and digital radiographs, including Panorex, dental chair and units, sterilizers, hand scalers, and curettes.
