RDA/DENTAL ASSISTANCE

Role Overview
The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) supports dentists by performing patient care, office, and laboratory duties to ensure efficient and high-quality treatment. Key responsibilities include assisting dentists to gain patient commitment, promoting a positive treatment experience, preparing patients, and supporting diagnosis and treatment. RDAs also complete x-rays, intra-oral pictures, and instruct patients on oral health care, while maintaining a clean, sterile environment in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED, with required state training and certifications (e.g., radiographs, sealants, ultrasonic scaling)
Preferred: Associate degree or technical certification from an accredited institution
Skills & Responsibilities Provide chair-side assistance with effective, anticipatory skills
Ensure patient comfort and facilitate a positive experience
Maintain infection control and safety compliance
Educate patients on oral health and postoperative care
