Clinic Pharmacist - Part-Time

Schedule: Part Time 24 Hours a Week

The pharmacist assumes responsibility for the day-to-day comprehensive, customer oriented pharmacy services provided on his/her shift. The pharmacist works under the general supervision of the Pharmacy Coordinator. The pharmacist participates in training pharmacy interns and externs in their service area.

Coordinates the dispensing of drugs and other appropriate pharmaceuticals to meet the needs of patients.

Identifies and monitors the pharmaceutical needs of patients.

Provides for immediate and direct supervision of supportive personnel assigned to his/her shift.

Participates, as assigned, in the experiential and didactic education and training of pharmacy students, residents, and support staff.

Conducts clinic medication reviews in a timely fashion as assigned.

Assists in the performance evaluation of area supportive staff.

Ensures and promotes customer service and total quality management.

Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.

He/she must possess an understanding of the pathophysiology and pharmacotherapy of disease states and has the application skills needed to permit proper integration of these in monitoring drug therapy.

Computer literacy and knowledge of pharmacy computer order entry systems is desired.
