Location: New York, NY

Type: Contract – 14 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Days | 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM | 3x12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $3,000 - $3,400/week

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room to provide perioperative nursing care in an acute care hospital setting, with strong experience in both scrubbing and circulating.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care throughout the perioperative process.

Perform both scrub and circulating RN responsibilities.

Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy.

Assist with and monitor patients receiving conscious sedation.

Maintain a safe and sterile operating environment.

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical staff.

Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow safety standards.

Required Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

Current New York State RN License.

Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration from NYSED.

Current AHA BLS certification.

Current AHA ACLS certification.

Minimum 2 years of Operating Room Scrub RN experience.

Minimum 2 years of Circulating RN experience.

Minimum 2 years of IV insertion experience.

Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience.

Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and patient safety.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
