In the position of Yard Jockey, you will be responsible for the movement of trailers within the premises. Move company equipment, trailers on and off docks as needed. Conduct visual inspections of the equipment, trailers must be done on a regular basis. Position may serve as a back up Class

Leads, supervisors, or managers must authorize the movement of a equipment, trailer. Management will also remove any locks on the air lines; Aid in the preventive maintenance (PM) process of our trailers needs between the jockey, transportation, and our maintenance technicians. Equipment is inspected, repaired, and maintained in such a way that defects are prevented from surfacing in the first place, before a violation or accident can occur.

Preshift and post shift inspections of our tractor must be done as required. Report any defects found, any incidents or damages that occur throughout the shift immediately to management

Maintain proper charging of equipment with minimal down time
