RN Weekend PCU Night Shift

Registered Nurse – Acute Care
Shift: Nights, 4x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Requirements:

NY RN license
ACLS certification
BLS certification
NIHSS certification (valid NIH required with submission)
Minimum 2 years RN experience
Travel experience
Community hospital experience
Trauma Level I experience
Experience managing Med/Surg ratios (1:5–1:7)
EPIC experience required
Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute stroke and neurological disorders.
Monitor and manage cardiac rhythms and participate in Rapid Response/Code teams.
Administer IV therapy and perform phlebotomy as needed.
Support respiratory care initiatives, including administering oxygen and managing airway devices.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols.
Compliance / Notes:

Orientation: 12 hours
Background checks: Reviewed case-by-case
COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; Flu vaccine: unknown
Return-staff policy: 6 months system-wide
RTO restriction: Cannot submit candidates with
10 days RTO
