Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department with 74 treatment spaces, including a dedicated trauma bay and behavioral health unit
Float as needed to the Emergency Transitional Care Unit (ETCU), a 22-bed unit with full telemetry capability and negative pressure room availability
Deliver nursing interventions and procedures for patients undergoing lengthy testing, awaiting consultation, or awaiting inpatient bed placement
Care for a diverse patient population, including potential COVID-positive patients
Adhere to every-third-weekend scheduling requirements and holiday coverage as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with no license hits accepted
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
Level I Trauma experience required
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC only)
Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with EPIC electronic health records system strongly preferred
Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and negative pressure room protocols
Experience in or willingness to cross-train for Emergency Transitional Care Unit (ETCU) duties
