Culinary Senior Cook

Our client, the food service industry, is seeking a Cook to join their team. As a Cook, you will be part of the culinary support team supporting mass food production and assembly. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Cook

Location: Long Island City, NY

Pay Range: $28 - 29/hr

Shift: Schedule will either be Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM.

What's the Job?

Accurately and efficiently follow recipes, prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.

Follow recipes and build sheets precisely to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.

Properly label Grab & Go containers and ensure all food safety standards are maintained.

Work inside a walk-in environment, maintaining proper attire and safety equipment.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

What's Needed?

Minimum of 2 years of culinary experience or related cooking background.

Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes and build sheets.

Own uniforms including chef pants, chef jacket, and non-slip closed-toe shoes.

Bring proper warm attire for working inside a walk-in environment.

Pass Sodexo onboarding requirements and segment/additional requirements.
