Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift:
Night 3x12-Hour Shift (19:00 - 07:30)
Weekend rotation required

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) who demonstrates a deep understanding of evidence-based practice, combined with knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacological implications, and regulatory issues pertinent to service line disease processes. The RN will be responsible for:
Accurate and thorough documentation of assessments
Performing clinical procedures including IV management, Foley catheter insertion, and dressing changes
Providing effective patient and family education
Meeting standards in the proper use of tele-monitoring systems, intravenous therapy, ventilation support, and safe medication administration
Recognizing changes in patient condition and taking appropriate action
Role modeling safety behaviors
Reporting errors and near misses daily
Acting as a patient advocate
Working independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
Accepting constructive feedback and maintaining a professional appearance
Completing tasks within designated timeframes
Taking initiative and conducting necessary follow-up as needed
Requirements:
Current California RN License
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department (ED)
Qualifications:
Previous charge experience preferred
Patient ratio experience: 4 patients
Travel experience required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Experience in managing abdominal pain and acute psychosis
Arterial line management and BiPAP/CPAP management
Administration of blood products and care for ventilated patients
Central line care and management, as well as chest tube insertion
Knowledge in interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias
Intubation skills and familiarity with infection control procedures
Management of patients undergoing procedural sedation
Ability to manage mental and behavioral health conditions, including suicidal patients
Triage experience in emergency settings
Unit Information:
Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
Daily patient census: approximately 120
Number of rooms: 32; Number of beds: 36
Interdisciplinary support from respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and more

Notes:
Compliance with onboarding tasks and documentation is mandatory. This includes a 7-year work history verification and certification uploads. Additional training modules will be required upon commencement.
