Echocardiographer Opportunity
Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking an Echocardiographer to join the Non-invasive Lab Team!
Shift: Full-time - 8 hour shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Unit has 5 rooms for Echos. Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests, Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram, and Doppler ultrasound. Echocardiographer will work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP and Cath Lab, OR, ICU and will also work with patients at the bedside.
Completes the technologist report in the structured report application. Provides leadership to support department with respect to staffing schedule, accreditation, staff education or other duties as defined by management. Candidates must have at least one of the four certifications, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer. Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program or equivalent education in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
Bachelor's Level Degree, Associate's Level Degree - CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGY OR High School Diploma.
Echo Tech experience in lieu of education: Adult echocardiography registry (ARDMS, RDCS or RCS) required within 12 months of hire.
