Laborer/CarpenterIrvine Office - Irvine, CA 92614OverviewSalary Range $15.00 - $20.00 Hourly Level Entry Position Type Full Time Job Shift Any Travel Percentage Road WarriorDescriptionCDG Builders is seeking a Laborer/Carpenter with experience on commercial construction projects. The position of Laborer/Carpenter has the responsibility of assisting the project team on small to medium sized construction projects and will report to a supervising Field Supervisor, Superintendent or Project Manager.The Laborer will report directly to the General Superintendent. This position is Nonexempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).Core ResponsibilitiesMaintain site cleanliness.Install and maintain barricades and protection.Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.Enforce site safety policies.Maintain positive relationship with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other employees.Self-perform minor scopes of work.Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding and ceiling tilesMeasure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materialsConstruct building frameworks, including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframesInspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixturesCore CompetenciesMust have clean driving record.Ability to work nights and weekends.Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.Must have Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.Must be proficient in English.Physical Demands: Performance of the duties will occasionally require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly work on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
