Must have at least 1-year prior work experience as a full-time commissioned peace officer with similar duties in a comparable law enforcement agency.
Bachelor’s Degree.
Previous work experience in university policing.
Current Full Time Working Peace Officer.
Texas State University ( TXST ) Police Department is looking for lateral transfers who are motivated to help others and be a part of the UPD Team. Every day our officers work with students, faculty, staff and the community to ensure safety for everyone. Respond to emergency calls, traffic accidents and general requests for assistance.
Proper use of communication and recording equipment.
Appears in court and testifies under oath.
Work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
