Full-time Remote Investigator

Background Investigator - TSXcelerate Solutions is seeking a Full Time Background Investigator, you will support a large national background investigations (BI) program that provides investigative products and services to departments and agencies of the federal government. Focused on our Nation's security, BIs are required to determine an individual's suitability for employment with the federal government, eligibility for access to classified information, assignment to or retention in positions with sensitive duties, or other designated duties requiring such investigations. The investigations often involve personal and intimate details of an individual's life and must be processed and conducted with tact and discretion. Information collected by the investigator as part of the BI is protected under the Privacy Act of 1974. Come join our award-winning organization and work with some of the most talented and brightest minds in the GovCon industry.Location: Northern Virginia, Denver, Atlanta, Seattle, Salt Lake City, LAClearance: Top SecretResponsibilities:Review completed background interview documentation checking for inconsistencies, errors, omissions, falsifications, and minimum requirements to ensure accuracy and completion before beginning initial candidate interview.Conduct background investigations by interviewing employers, co-workers, neighbors, law enforcement officials, military personnel, members of the candidate's family, and personal references.Prepare detailed and complete interview statements for each person being interviewed in order to allow a reviewer to draw reasonable and logical conclusions about the prospective candidates.Prepare documentation for inclusion into a results of investigation package organizing all investigative material in accordance with established proceduresPrepares detailed summary of adverse information based upon objective analysis and evaluation of candidate's background, and interviewee statements, as measured against requirement standards as set forth by the FIS.Ability to conduct interviews remotely and/or in-person and be able to travel up to 50% of the time.Spanish Speaking is a plusMinimum Requirements:Active Top-Secret clearanceCompletion of NTS Background Investigator courseAbility to travel up to 50% of the timeAbility to conduct interviews virtually at homeLocated near Northern Virginia, Atlanta, Seattle, Salt Lake CityCompensation, Benefits & Application Information:Anticipated hourly pay range: $25.35 to $38.00 per hourComprehensive benefits package, including:Medical | Dental | VisionVacation and Sick Time11 Paid Holidays Per Year401(k) Retirement PlanEducation and Professional Development ReimbursementOther benefits in accordance with company plans and policiesTo apply, apply through the Xcelerate Careers site.
