ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel Histology Technologist for a travel job in Peoria, Illinois.
Histology Technologist
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: 8 hours, nights
- Employment Type: Travel
Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. 750 referral bonus available
Histotechnician - SFMC - Pathology Lab Tech
Work 8-hour night shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- No holiday requirements
- ASCP certification (HT or HTL), Certified Histotechnician (HT) via ASCP, or Certified Histotechnologist (HTL) via ASCP
- Must have experience with microtomy, embedding, and ability to perform re-cuts
- Ability to work in high volume histology lab while maintaining case integrity
- Experience with special stains, tissue specimens, cell cultures, microscopic exams, routine histology, CLIA, IHC, frozen sections
- Must be proficient with routine maintenance, microtome, surgical pathology, technical procedures, immunofluorescence, hematoxylin
- Work with EPIC Beaker EMR system
- Daily training with trainer during department-specific orientation

This major medical center features a comprehensive pathology laboratory with a high-volume histology department that closes at 22:30. The facility operates as an acute care setting utilizing the EPIC Beaker system for laboratory operations. The organization maintains a drug-free campus policy and provides structured orientation programs with dedicated trainers to ensure quality patient care and proper laboratory procedures.
