Emerald Valley PT is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, complemented by a robust benefits package. As part of our hospital-based team, you will work onsite in a dynamic and collaborative environment alongside licensed physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured and predictable work schedule. The hospital setting provides access to cutting-edge therapeutic technologies and resources, enabling our staff to implement the most effective treatment plans for our patients.
Your day-to-day duties as a Physical Therapist Assistant will include:

Assisting licensed physical therapists in developing and executing tailored therapy programs aimed at enhancing mobility, relieving pain, and minimizing physical disabilities.
Monitoring patient progress and communicating findings to the supervising physical therapist, ensuring that treatment plans are adjusted as needed for optimal outcomes.
Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation for each patient encountered, adhering to HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
Independently evaluating patient needs and implementing functional therapeutic activities that support their rehabilitation goals.
The outpatient services at Emerald Valley PT primarily cater to individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or conditions affecting musculoskeletal health. Our diverse patient population ranges from athletes seeking rehabilitation to seniors requiring assistance to maintain their independence. You will play a vital role in helping these patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence through personalized care.
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program related to Physical Therapy.
A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in clinical patient care as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license issued by the state of Florida.
Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques, particularly those applicable to orthopedic rehabilitation.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is considered a valuable asset.
Experience working in a fast-paced outpatient clinic or hospital environment.
Additional training or certifications in specialized physical therapy techniques.
