Emergency Department RN Full Time- Dayshift

Nestled on the Central California Coast, Adventist Health Sierra Vista has been
providing care to our community since 1959. Our 162-bed acute care facility
includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county designated trauma

Provides nursing care, including triage, treatment and discharge care for the
Emergency Department patients, from newborns to geriatrics. Education and Work Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: One year in acute care experience: Current RN license in state of practice: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy:
vendor per AH policy: AH policy: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC): Required within 6 months of hire or
Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice: Facility Specific License/Certifications:

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy:
Emergency MD of all abnormal signs, symptoms and vital signs 100% the time.
Recognizes the symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress and other
impending emergencies 100% of the time. Provides appropriate nursing
routine nursing skills including: (intravenous therapy including blood products, (3) care & maintenance of
indwelling catheters & drains and, (4) safe use of any medical equipment used
in the critical care setting, (5) Understands and follows chain of command
per policy.
* Accurately interprets ECG rhythm and manages care of patients during life
threatening emergencies in populations served. functions and application, able to make recommendations for best monitoring
Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skill in providing care during Code
Completes legible, accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care
Consistently performs necessary unit specific safety
& quality control checks (i.e. crash cart checks, urine QC, difficult airway,
coordination and collaboration with inpatient units when admitting patients
