Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Practice
Newton Pediatrics is a rapidly growing, dynamic pediatric practice affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital , seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.

NP students are encouraged to apply! We understand that NP students have demanding school and clinical schedules and are willing to accommodate your schedule as much as possible, provided it aligns with the needs of our offices.

We currently have two office locations in Wellesley and Waltham , approximately 10 minutes apart. Travel between both offices is required.

Position Details

Full-time position

Monday-Wednesday: 8:00 AM-6:00 PM or 7:00 PM, depending on office location

Thursday-Friday: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Occasional weekend shifts

Travel between our Wellesley and Waltham offices is required

Hourly pay: $37-$40/hour, based on experience

No remote option

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Most importantly, you should have a genuine love for children and a passion for providing compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Triaging telephone calls and providing appropriate clinical advice

Providing patient and family education

Obtaining vital signs

Administering vaccinations (required)

Performing finger-stick testing

Administering medications

Obtaining medical, social, and family histories

Performing point-of-care (POC) testing, including Strep, COVID, Lead, Hemoglobin, Urinalysis, Cholesterol, Mono, Flu, and RSV testing

Building trusting relationships with patients and families and helping them feel comfortable and at ease

Providing direct patient care in a busy pediatric office setting

Assisting with general office duties and special projects as needed

Working collaboratively with physicians, NPs, and the entire clinical team

Qualifications

Current RN license required

Registered nursing experience required

BLS Certification required

At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred

Pediatric experience is a plus

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to remain calm, attentive, and effective under pressure

Must be a dependable team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Must be comfortable traveling between our Wellesley and Waltham offices
