Electro-Mechanical Design Drafter

Join a growing engineering and manufacturing team developing advanced electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical products for aerospace, defense, and other high-reliability industries.

Create and update engineering and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Develop work instructions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and other production documentation.

Prepare complete drawing packages, including assemblies, schematics, specifications, and manufacturing documents.

Support engineering and production teams by ensuring documentation is accurate, current, and manufacturing-ready.

Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues.

Maintain revision control and ensure compliance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and documentation quality.

5+ years of drafting experience in electro-mechanical, mechanical, or electronic products.

• Strong SolidWorks experience creating detailed models, assemblies, and production drawings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and electrical schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, and configuration/revision control processes.

Technical training or education in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.

Ability to travel occasionally.

This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on precision, compliance, and continuous improvement.

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
