Emergency Room Nurse (ER)This position is for an Emergency Room Nurse with the following specifications:Shift: NightsShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekYears of Experience: 2 yearsWeekend Requirements: Required to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week scheduleHoliday Requirements: YesCertification RequirementsThe following certifications are required for this position:ACLS (AHA)BLS (AHA)ENPC or PALSNRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)TNCCUnit InformationThe Emergency Room operates with the following characteristics:Trauma Level: IIINumber of Beds/Trauma Bays: 15 beds, 2 trauma baysFast Track: YesTriage Area: Yes, with the expectation that all nurses may assist in triage dutiesSeparate Psychiatric/Seclusion Rooms: YesSecurity: In-house 24/7, located in the ERAverage ER Patients Treated Per Day: 40+Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:4Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Emergency Room Nurse will be responsible for:Providing quality care to patients with various diagnoses such as abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headaches, and injuries.Administering common drips, including cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia.Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, mid-level providers, nurse aides, EMTs, and paramedics.Collaborating with respiratory therapy staff available in the ER 24/7, performing tasks related to equipment like vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow.Drawing labs, as phlebotomy is also available within the ER.Scheduling MethodologySelf-scheduling is permitted, along with block scheduling options.Weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory as per departmental needs.Professional AttireThe dress code specified for this role includes navy blue scrubs.OrientationNew hires will participate in a week of orientation, with the date and location assigned during this time.Note: Candidates may be required to float within Zone 1 based on operational needs.Client Details City Pueblo State CO
