Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in Family Law to support attorneys in case management, client intake, legal drafting, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will combine deep family-law knowledge with proficiency in e-filing, document and discovery management, and practice management software to help drive excellent client outcomes and efficient office operations.

Support attorneys on a broad range of family law matters including divorce, custody, support, and protective orders.

Conduct client intake interviews, gather information, and maintain client files with confidentiality and professionalism.

Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, settlement documents, and other legal correspondence under attorney supervision.

Manage calendaring and docketing of hearings, deadlines, and court appearances; prepare hearing and trial calendars.

Handle e-filing and service of documents with local and state courts; monitor filings and proof of service.

Organize and manage case files, both physical and electronic; maintain document management systems and version control.

Assist with discovery and e-discovery: prepare discovery requests/responses, organize productions, and manage document review using tools like Relativity.

Draft deposition summaries, prepare exhibits, and assist attorneys in deposition and trial preparation.

Prepare subpoenas, witness lists, exhibit binders, and trial notebooks; coordinate logistics for hearings and trials.

Perform legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis and prepare concise research summaries for attorneys.

Support due diligence tasks, corporate filings where applicable, and matters intersecting with regulatory compliance.

Coordinate probate and estate administration tasks as needed, including document preparation and filings.

Ensure FOIA and HIPAA compliance when handling sensitive records and prepare redacted documents using Adobe Acrobat.

Manage timekeeping and billing entries accurately using Clio, Timeslips or similar systems and support invoicing processes.

Use practice management software (Clio, PracticePanther) to track tasks, deadlines, and client communications.

Assist with contract review and preparation of ancillary agreements related to family law matters (e.g., separation agreements, property settlements).

Serve as Notary Public or coordinate notarizations; maintain appropriate certifications and logs.

Work collaboratively with litigation support vendors and internal staff to support electronic discovery, document production, and trial technology needs.
