Piedmont Triad Regional Council

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is seeking a finance director who will plan and organize the system of grants management and compliance for the Regional Council. The role requires expertise in applying the Office of Management and Budget Uniform Guidance, cost principles and audit requirements, and developing a sophisticated organizational finance strategy.

Extensive knowledge of the Office of Management and Budget Uniform Guidance, and principles and practices of accounting and budgeting, including GAAP.

Thorough understanding of general laws and administrative policies governing municipal financial practices and procedures.

Knowledge of effective communication principles and practices, orally and in writing.

Ability to supervise the development and implementation of accounting systems and procedures, and prepare and interpret financial reports.

Skills in planning, organizing, and directing work of subordinate employees in accounting, payroll administration, statistical reporting, tax assessment and collection, and investments.

Ability to foster teamwork and maintain harmonious relationships within the Finance Department and with other departments, member governments, and the public.

Consistent exercise of sound professional and administrative judgment.

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business finance, public administration or related field and career-level experience in finance administration, including significant supervisory experience of finance professionals.
