The Foodservice Production Cook is responsible for providing exceptional Guest service while supporting daily kitchen operations. This role prepares, cooks, and serves food according to menu standards and Guest requests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The Production Cook ensures that all food meets Plum Market Foodservices quality expectations for flavor, presentation, and consistency while upholding proper sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards across the culinary department.
You have at least 1 year of experience as a cook.
You think quickly and can step into different roles as needed to ensure service, food safety, and sanitation standards are met.
You understand and practice proper rotation principles and food safety standards.
You take pride in maintaining clean equipment and an organized, safe kitchen environment.
You are able to properly open and close the kitchen, including equipment checks, sanitation, and documentation.
A passion for cooking and a strong desire to learn and grow in your culinary skills.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Prepare, cook, heat, and serve all components of the daily menu following Plum Market Foodservice standards.
Maintain the hot bar during lunch service to ensure food is fresh, well-presented, and properly rotated.
Perform all food safety and sanitation practices, including daily equipment checks and temperature logs.
Receive deliveries, stock shelves and coolers, and rotate products according to established standards.
Assist with catering orders, including preparation and delivery as directed by the Manager.
Wash dishes as needed and keep all kitchen areas, equipment, and floors clean and in excellent working condition.
Sweep and mop floors daily to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
Uphold all Plum Market Foodservice policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
Monday through Friday 6 am to 2 pm or 7 am to 3 pm.
