HR Generalist ASAP!

The purpose of this new role is to assist with all general HR related matters and to provide further support to our company’s long term vision based around the recruitment and organizational needs.

Provide HR support in the areas of benefits, employee relations, performance management, new employee onboarding, employment policy guidance, compliance;

Assimilates new employees into the organization, including pre-hire set-up & assistance with new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals & future plans;

Act as a point of contact regarding employee relation matters, while collaborating with team leaders and appropriate HR members to resolve any discrepancies and/or office conflicts;

Administers employee life cycle events, including benefits open enrollment, annual performance reviews, leaves of absence, unemployment claims;

Partner with HR teams on workflows, process improvements, projects and solutions;

track and document employee performance, and provide feedback on applicable performance metrics;

Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs as they occur;

Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests;

Assist with HR events;

Produce and submit reports on general HR activity;

Maintain confidential electronic & physical files, employee data and processes actions in HRIS;

Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices;

BS/BA degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline required;

Manufacturing or automotive industry experience is a plus, not required;

Experience utilizing an HRIS system; Must have a keen understanding of Employment Law, Federal, State and local regulations and how they apply to the organization;

Experience with all aspects of HR functions, including employee relations, benefits, payroll & compensation, EEO compliance and other legal and regulatory compliance;

Strong sense of accountability and strong project management skills required;

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis;

Outstanding personal judgment.

Identify concerns and initiate corrective actions (through verification) relating to product, process and quality systems

Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems

Where PPE is required to control exposure to hazards in the workplace, wear and maintain the PPE as directed, as indicated in a risk assessment, or as required in OH&S procedures

Use other safety and emergency equipment provided in the workplace as directed or as required in OH&S procedures

Assist with the preparation of risk assessments

Before commencing work or research, a risk assessment should be conducted to identify, assess and control the hazards associated with the work or research. Report workplace hazards to the supervisor as soon as possible after they occur

Report injury or illness arising from workplace activities using the incident/injury reporting system as soon as possible after the incident
