Position Summary Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Infrastructure Electrical Engineering team. The role involves safely energizing equipment, meeting key milestones, and providing commissioning and engineering support. The position will also contribute to the development of maintenance plans and the handover of systems to operational ownership.

Responsibilities Oversee commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of LV/MV Motor Starters, MCCs, and VFDs.

Serve as Site Subject Matter Expert for Motor Starters, MCCs, and VFDs.

Perform modeling and analysis of motor‑driven systems.

Ensure power system uptime and performance.

Support area and equipment handover.

Optimize system settings and perform alarm management and rationalization.

Develop detailed step plans and SOPs incorporating risk analysis for all device operations.

Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical or electronics engineering (preferred).

8+ years of relevant experience with medium and high voltage electrical distribution.

In-depth knowledge of Motor Starters, MCCs, and VFDs, LV/MV switchgear and its protections.

Experience in commissioning, testing, and creating commissioning procedures for motor starters, MCCs, VFDs, and MV/LV electrical distribution equipment.

Salary and Compensation Base salary range: $76,000 – $145,000. Base pay depends on duties, location, education, skills, and experience. Total compensation may include incentive participation based on performance.
