We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Referral Coordinator to join our team. The Referral Coordinator will be responsible for managing the referral process from start to finish, ensuring timely communication between patients, providers, and insurance companies. This role will also support the clinical team by fostering meaningful relationships with patients and their families and caring for our patients in a hands-on and personalized way. Manage the referral process by sending referrals and submitting authorizations, ensuring all information is accurate and complete before submission.
Track referral progress, including approvals, denials, and appointments, and assist in coordinating medical records and documentation as needed.
Coordinate scheduling and follow-up appointments to optimize patient care.
Front Office/MA support (when needed), including:
Verify patient eligibility and insurance coverage, and act as the main point of contact for patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding referral status and concerns.
Schedule appointments, provide clear instructions to patients, and follow up with medical offices, insurance companies, and patients to ensure timely handling of referrals and record collection.
Contribute to care team discussions to enhance patient outcomes.
Maintain a patient-centered mindset while upholding clinic standards of care.
3+ years of experience as a referral coordinator or medical assistant, ideally in a primary care setting.
~2+ years handling referrals from primary care to specialist offices.

Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.
Compassionate and patient-focused with a genuine desire to improve senior citizens' health outcomes.
Demonstrates composure, focus, and professionalism in high-pressure or fast-paced situations, effectively managing stress while maintaining quality and efficiency.
English/Spanish language skills preferred.
