Eaton's Energy Transition business is seeking an Electrical Engineer in either Peachtree City, GA or Moon Township, PA. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Eaton's Energy Transition business is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and validation of battery energy storage and EV charging solutions. This is an early-career opportunity to gain hands-on experience with power electronics, energy storage, EV charging, controls, and system integration, while working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

What you'll do:

• Support the design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of BESS, EV charging, and electrification systems.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Support integration and validation of batteries, power conversion systems, controls, and communication interfaces.
• Perform laboratory testing, collect and analyze data, and help troubleshoot electrical and system-level issues.
• Collaborate with electrical, firmware/software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Support prototype builds, design reviews, product validation, certification, and field commissioning activities.
• Develop test procedures, engineering reports, and work instructions.
• Contribute to product safety, reliability, quality, and performance improvements

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution (December 2026 grads are eligible to apply!)
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant engineering experience, which may include internship, co-op, research, or significant hands-on project experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework or hands-on experience in power electronics, such as converters, inverters, DC/DC converters, motor drives, or power supplies.
• Exposure to battery energy storage, EV charging, renewable energy, or power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with batteries, BMS, power conversion systems, or energy management/control systems.
• Familiarity with CAN, Modbus, or other industrial communication protocols.
• Firmware/programming experience using C/C++, Python, embedded systems, or microcontrollers is a plus.
• Mechanical or electromechanical design aptitude is a plus.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, data acquisition systems, or CAN tools is preferred.

Skills:

• Fundamental knowledge of electrical circuits, power electronics, power systems, or controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using basic electrical laboratory equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
