The Registrar at the Emergency Department reception area will offer administrative assistance to clinical personnel to streamline the clerical aspects of referrals for a variety of services. They will offer an exceptional patient experience and serve as the first point of contact for patients. The Patient Registrar is responsible for a range of tasks, including:

Reception, registration, and switchboard operations.

They will handle switchboard operations, taking and relaying messages, directing calls to the appropriate hospital departments and personnel, and adhering to telephone protocols during emergencies. Document outpatient and emergency admissions through patient or guarantor interviews, inputting data into the computer system. They will welcome visitors, offer guidance, and explain hospital policies, financial obligations, and patient rights.

Address all routine patient inquiries relating to the registration process, ensuring that all essential demographic and financial information is obtained and accurately recorded in the Electronic Medical Record system.

Speaks both English and Spanish to better serve our community, but not required
