Cytotechnologist (Pathology Lab)

HCA Florida West Hospital is hiring a Cytotechnologist at 8383 North Davis Highway, Pensacola, FL 32514.

Provide patient clinical data or microscopic findings to assist pathologists in the preparation of pathology reports.

Perform quality assurance in the laboratory, including maintenance of the system in accordance with the requirements of the College of American Pathologists and preparation for site visits.

Prepare slides and reports in a timely fashion, ensuring QC standards are met.

Maintain procedures and records to meet all regulatory standards.

Perform other duties as necessary for efficient operation of the department.

Actively seek ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care or the services delivered.

Follow established guidelines for reporting significant medical errors or unanticipated outcomes that result in patient harm.

use a Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.

Prepare and maintain reagents and equipment.

Florida License Cytotechnologist required.
