Nursing Registered Nurse - Day shift

PACU Registered Nurse (RN)
This is a 13-week contract position.
This position requires rotating day shifts that may vary between 07:00-15:30 for 2x8 hour shifts or 07:00-17:30 for 2x10 hour shifts. The hours for the PACU are from 07:30 to 20:30. The nurse could be scheduled at any time during these hours.
We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, administering medications, and ensuring a safe and comfortable recovery environment.
Responsibilities
Monitor and assess patient vital signs and overall condition post-operatively.
Administer medications and manage IV therapy under established protocols.
Provide discharge instructions and education to patients and their families.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Participate in on-call rotations and float to other units as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state.
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a PACU setting.
Previous charge experience is required.
Familiarity with Epic charting system is preferred.
