Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a hospital setting requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details

• Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy unit
• Works with adult critical care, emergency department, NICU, and pediatric patient populations
• Staffing ratios based on hospital acuity
• Day shift (4x12, 7:00-19:00) and night shift (4x12, 19:00-7:00) schedules available
• Floating required between units and potentially sister facilities
• Every other weekend required per CBA
• On-call not required
• 48-hour work weeks approved

Minimum 2 years of experience required
Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
License required if applicable
Epic EMR experience required
Trauma Level II experience preferred
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, high frequency jet ventilator, and high frequency oscillator
Skilled in airway management, suctioning, intubation assist, and extubation
Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment including CPAP/BIPAP, oscillating ventilator, and apnea monitors
Experience caring for patients with ARDS, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and respiratory distress syndrome
Proficiency in arterial blood gas drawing and interpretation
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as permanent staff, traveler, or per-diem
Additional Information

Provide respiratory care across adult critical care, emergency department, NICU, and pediatric settings
Perform chest physiotherapy, pulmonary hygiene, and tracheostomy care/management
Administer medications via nebulizer, MDI, and other delivery systems
Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports as needed
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
Former Providence permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
