Law - Paralegal

Team members collaborate closely to deliver efficient, reliable legal services across multiple practice areas.\nRole Description\nThe Paralegal will be responsible for assisting attorneys with case preparation, client communication, discovery, document management, deadlines, and administrative aspects of legal matters. The position requires a strong working knowledge of Clio case management software, law-firm client intake procedures, legal forms, engagement documentation, and the various documents required for different types of cases.\nQualifications\n\n Prior experience working as a paralegal in a law firm is required.\n Hands-on experience with Clio case management software is strongly preferred.\n Experience with new client intake and law-firm client onboarding procedures.\n Working knowledge of legal engagement agreements, fee agreements, client questionnaires, authorizations, releases, HIPAA forms, tax forms, and other standard law-firm documentation.\n Experience maintaining complete and organized electronic case files and client records.\n Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting professionally with attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, insurance representatives, medical providers, and other external parties.\n Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.\n Ability to handle confidential and sensitive client information with discretion and professionalism.\n Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Clio and other standard office productivity tools.\n Experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, mass torts, complex litigation, insurance, or other civil litigation is a plus.\n\nPreferred Experience\nThe ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy, multi-practice-area law firm and will be comfortable learning and applying different intake, documentation, and case-management requirements depending on the type of legal matter.\n\nThis position is particularly well suited for an experienced paralegal who takes ownership of the client intake and case-management process, has exceptional attention to detail, and understands that accurate documentation and organization are essential to effective legal representation.
