Machine Envelope Packer

Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. Hiring machine envelope packers for all shifts in our City of Industry, CA plant.

Machine Packer Pay/Schedule:

• Pay $18/hr + shift premiums
• 2nd shift premium $0.70/hr (2pm -- 10pm)
• 3rd shift premium $1.50/hr (10pm - 6am)
• Schedule: Mon - Fri / Sat required during busy season/based on business needs.

Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties:

Loads paper onto automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines; packs finished product.

Inspects the quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.

Check current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.

May be required to do rework on finished product; cleans up work area during/end of shift.

Other duties as assigned/required.

Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Ability to maintain a high-speed output while standing for the duration of a full shift, including frequent pushing, twisting, and bending.

Requires strong mental alertness and the ability to reach overhead, step up, and manually feed paper into the machine.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and sufficient manual dexterity to grasp and handle objects repeatedly.

Regular exposure to arm and wrist fatigue; the work environment includes noise and contact with non-hazardous materials, such as inks, solvents, and glue.

Must be able to work effectively in environments with varying temperatures, including both hot and cold conditions.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
• Quality inspection skills and the ability to measure/read a ruler.
• Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills
