Registered Nurse - High Acuity Mixed Unit
Location: Titusville, FL
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: This position requires a Day shift with a 3x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend work is required every other weekend.
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our high acuity mixed unit team. The ideal candidate will possess rapid response team experience and total joints experience, while adhering to a patient ratio of 1:6. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and effective care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients in a mixed unit setting.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes in status.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Engage in patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatments.
Participate in rapid response team initiatives and manage high acuity cases.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and nursing standards.
Required Experience & Certifications

Active RN license in Florida or compact state.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in acute care settings.
Certification in ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS required.
Experience with cardiac drips, telemetry, and dysrhythmias is essential.
Ability to work in a high acuity environment with floating requirements.
