This program is designed to provide immediate stabilization, compassionate intervention, and meaningful support for individuals experiencing acute psychiatric and behavioral health needs — all while helping reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and improving community outcomes. Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and behavioral health support to individuals experiencing psychiatric crises

Perform nursing assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring

Administer medications and monitor patient response to treatment

Assist with crisis intervention and de‑escalation efforts

Collaborate closely with Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Therapists, Social Workers, and interdisciplinary staff

Support care coordination, discharge planning, and referrals to appropriate community resources

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Ensure a safe, therapeutic, and trauma‑informed environment for patients and staff

Participate in development and implementation of program workflows and best practices

Qualifications

Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Substance Use/Detox: 1 year (Required)

Inpatient Behavioral Health: 1 year (Required)

Behavioral Health, Psychiatric, Crisis, Emergency Room, Detox/Substance Use, or Inpatient experience strongly preferred

Passion for community mental health and serving vulnerable populations

Strong assessment, communication, and crisis management skills

Ability to thrive within a fast‑paced, evolving environment
