The Role: As a Physical Therapist in our School Age Program, you will be a vital component of a robust interdisciplinary team that is driven to ensure the most optimal outcomes for the students that Brightway Living & Learning supports. Our Physical Therapists are responsible for providing all aspects of Physical Therapy services to your assigned caseload. What You Bring To Brightway Living & Learning Licensed in physical therapy by NYSED with current registration

Bachelor's Degree in physical therapy from accredited university or college

Experience treating children with I/DD preferred.

What You'll Do Evaluate, assess, or screen clients using appropriate standardized testing and clinical observational skills

Provide physical therapy services according to mandated paperwork (i.e. Maintain documentation in a professional, efficient, accountable, and confidential manner.

Maintain and update professional knowledge, skills and abilities through continuing education, in-service training or higher education.

Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic, orthotic and adaptive equipment devices.

Consult with equipment technicians, physicians or others related to the clients needs

What You Must Be Able To Do Modify the area to secure the safety of the children i.e. move/push tables and other heavy objects up to 20 lbs.

Run after a student up to 500 feet.

Respond to fire alarms.
