CLS QC Lab

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for DNA paternity testing in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality in an afternoon-to-evening shift schedule. New graduates are welcome with full training provided.

Responsibilities

Assess specimen acceptability according to established quality criteria

Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation

Report accurate and timely test results and maintain quality control documentation

Prepare and evaluate reagents, controls, and maintain testing supplies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
• CLIA-compliant science credits or non-traditional degree as alternative qualification
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass color blindness screening test
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience preferred
