Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN with prior travel and ICU experience for a 13-week assignment requiring TX or compact RN licensure.

Work in a 10-bed ICU
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00), with 36 or 48 hour options
Patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3
Epic charting system experience required
Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, with NIHSS and TNCC preferred
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Skilled in IV therapy, arterial and central line management, blood product administration, and PICC line care
Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning
Proficient in cardiac drip titration, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac monitoring
Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
Skilled in CVA/acute stroke management and IV insulin protocols
Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization care and Swan-Ganz monitoring preferred
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
Additional Information

Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients with complex, multisystem conditions
Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
Complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
Complete onsite orientation modules averaging 4-6 hours for RNs
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not accepted
Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
