Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a healthcare facility offering specialized critical care. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care for ICU patients, including ventilator management, titratable drips, medication mixing, and hygiene assistance. This position requires the ability to float to both Emergency Room (ER) and Medical Surgical (Med Surg) departments as needed, supporting diverse critical and acute patient needs.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); minimum of 2 years ICU experience; ER and Med Surg experience required; TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred; experience with vents, titratable drips, medication mixing, patient hygiene preferred; flexibility to float to ER and Med Surg departments; ability to work with ventilators and titratable drips; must be registered with the state of New Mexico for fingerprinting
Additional Information: The role involves caring for ICU patients, managing ventilators, titratable drips, and hygiene. The unit has 12 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2-3. The position may require floating to ER and Med Surg departments, assisting with call lights, passing medications, transporting patients, starting IVs, and blood draws. No call is required. The length of assignment is 13 weeks with a start date of 09/21/2026 and end date of 12/21/2026. Scrub colors can be any, and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is MedHost.
