Manages professional employees and/or supervisors

Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own area of specialty

Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and department plan; Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers

Collaborates with functional leadership to identify and select processes or projects for inclusion in the organization’s continuous improvement initiative.

Manages the work of a team that evaluates existing processes and identifies opportunities for quality or efficiency improvement.

Develops and monitors the implementation of process changes meant to result in cost or waste reduction, productivity improvement, customer satisfaction, and profitability increases.

Recommends changes that may impact floor layout, material flow, or machinery selection and use.

Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.

computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Bachelor’s Degree

Discipline/Major: Business, Engineering, Operations or related field preferred

Lean, Six Sigma, or related certification preferred

Problem management. Project management skills.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
