As a Geotechnical Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to follow projects from concept through construction, working on current and upcoming design-bid-build and design-build projects in highways, rail, water, environmental, ports and maritime, and advanced facilities sectors. Coordination and generation of geotechnical-based drawings and specifications, and preparation of data, baseline, and interpretative reports.
Experience in field assignments that will include observation of explorations (soil and rock borings, test pits, CPT soundings, geophysical testing), and laboratory testing of soils and rock.Knowledge of the process to design shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, embankment and cut slopes, and slope stabilization.Design and installation of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring; and inspection of earth retaining structures, deep foundations inspection and testing (drilled shafts, driven piles), and shallow foundations, and trenchless pipe installation.Experience with Plaxis is a plusBS in Civil Engineering.MS with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering (preferred).Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred).Employees have access to medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount.
