Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager | Providence, RI | Hybrid

VHB's Water Resources group is growing across New England, and we're looking for aProject Manager/ Water Resources Engineer to join its dynamic team. In this hybrid position you will assist our clients with developing strategic, cost-effective, and forward-thinking solutions to their water resources, ecological restoration, transportation, and environmental challenges. You will have an opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, ranging from site to watershed scale. Projects may include stormwater designs, bridge hydraulics and scour, stream restorations, flood mitigation and management, and coastal resiliency.

Lead multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality solutions.

Conduct and/or lead staff in conducting comprehensive hydrologic and hydraulic studies, detailed reports, design plans, construction documents, and specifications that address water resources needs for a wide array of projects.

Partner with VHB's integrated team to evaluate permit requirements and prepare applications for approvals.

Identify both short-term deadlines, deliverables, and tasks as well as long-term client goals

Superior project management skills on water resource projects

An understanding of local, state, and federal technical requirements related to water resources projects

Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental/water resource engineering or related discipline (master's degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience)

8+ years of stormwater, water quality, and/or regulatory experience, including project management

AutoCAD and GIS experience strongly desired

but for a well-qualified candidate, other office locations in New England could be possible.

The full-time annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000. The base salary offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including geographic location, internal equity, experience, credentials, skills, education, work schedule, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive annual incentive compensation bonuses, spot bonuses, and merit-based salary increases, providing opportunities to increase earnings beyond base pay.
