Sunrise Services is seeking an HR Manager to join the Team!

A ssist the Human Resource s Director in the development and implementation of Human Resource (HR) programs in support of the company objective of matching employees and clients , to promote maximum self-determination and independence of clients.

Under the direction of the HR Director, implement company recruitment program: research r ecruiting strategies, recruit applicants to fill specific staff positi ons, track job openings , write job postings, prepare and place ads, prepare and se nd mailings, design recruitment fliers and application materials, respond to applicant questions, conduct interviews, lead new employees through on-boarding process, and represent the company at job fairs.

Administer the Worker’s Compensa tion program: ma nage claims by gathering information and corresponding with third party administrator, maintain database and required claim logs, generate reports, monitor trends, ensure that employees are provided with all information required by law, monitor third party administrator’s performance and contract compliance, interact with the state as necessary to administer our program.

Administer the unemployment insurance program: m anage claims by gathering information and interacting with third party administrator, function as point person for claims and appeals, maintain database, monitor charges and tax rate, generate reports, oversee the performance of third party administrator, and interact with the state as necessary to administer our program.

Ensure company compliance with a broad array of state and federal laws governing employment, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, wage and hour laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, and civil rights laws. Advise and assist supervisors with employee performance issues .

Assist supervisors in prepar ing evaluations, provide advice on performance coaching and disciplinary issues, conduct termination meetings, and assist supervisors in administering discipline.

Condu ct employee relation activities. Investigate and respond to employee complaints, mediate disputes between employees and supervisors, advise supervisors and employees on commun ications issues, and conduct selected exit interviews.

Adhere to and promote the company’s affirmative action/equal opportunity employment efforts: moni tor recruitment effort s, collect and process affirmative action data, prepare required reports, and respond to complaints of harassment or unlawful discrimination.

Provide guidance and leadership as assigned by the Human Resources Director.

Facilitate a wide variety of meetings, including meetings between/within workgroups, planning, and problem-solving meetings .

Participate in the p lanning and implementation of employee training programs to meet program requirements and to ensure that proper support is available to clients .

Assist with supervisory training on personnel issues, including interviewing, performance coaching and evaluations, disci pline, sexual harassment , and HIPAA .

Help maintain and audit personnel files and related records.

Write and edit reports, letters, and other documents for H uman Resources Director on employment-related issues.

Draft, edit and prepare proposals fo r changes or additions to Human Resources documents and processes .

Monday - Friday, full-time

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or o ther appropriate field; with significant course work in human resource management required . May substitute relevant work experience for education on a year-for-year basis.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher.

Possess strong working knowledge of Human Resources laws, regulations, and practices.

04 per hour worked for hourly employees, and 6.67 per month for salary (equates to about 2 weeks per year for full-time employees)

Sick Leave - 1 hour per 40 hours worked (equates to about 52 hours for full-time)

Holiday pay, with 8 holidays observed
