Registered Nurse Ambulatory - Occupational Health, Full-time

Clinic RN - DSM Occupational Health
4 days per week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with one day off per week.

Full‑time position.

Provide direct care to employees and personnel who become ill and/or are injured on company property as well as pre‑employment screening.

Perform nursing assessments and assist provider with employment and surveillance examinations.

Communicate effectively with peers for continuity of care; instruct patients for injury care; complete appropriate forms or requisitions required for referrals or laboratory testing.

Assist in case management initiation and follow‑up.

Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.

Function as a clinician, educator, and resource for patients within specialty of care and assist providers with office procedures.

Draw and collect blood and other samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.

Conduct pulmonary function testing, drug testing, vision testing, hearing testing, immunization delivery, and spirometry testing.

Properly use office and medical equipment such as computer, spirometer, audiometer, fax machine, multi‑stage copiers, and telephones.

Practice reflecting knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, DOT, and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding occupational medicine and healthcare.

Maintain accurate and confidential employee medical records on computer and in written form as needed.

Provide appropriate and timely documentation in the patient’s electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes.

Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed expectations.

Telephone triage by providing and documenting advice for home care of illness or condition; conduct follow‑up phone calls regarding patient’s health and progress as necessary.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program for Registered Nurses.

Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license in the state and in good standing.

NIOSH approved spirometry training or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.

If performing client‑based services, chauffeur license required (to be obtained within 6 months of hire) and must meet fleet policy eligibility requirements.
