Description
American Traveler seeks an Inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist with GA licensure and BLS certification for a Level II Trauma Center hospital in Rome, Georgia.
Details

• Inpatient Rehabilitation Services unit within a 304-bed full-service hospital
• Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU with specialty pediatric, wound care, and hyperbaric services
• Treats orthopedic, debility, spinal cord, neurological, multi-trauma, fracture, post-op, and cardiac patients
• Average caseload of 8-11 patients per therapist per day
• Performs Modified Barium Swallow tests and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) assessments
• Uses EPIC EMR for documentation
• Day shift schedule, 5x8s or 4x10s, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
• No weekend rotation, on-call, or holiday requirements
• No floating required
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements
Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Georgia required if applicable
Current BLS certification
Minimum 12 months of core experience in the specialty area, with recent experience within the last year (1 year preferred)
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight treating common diagnoses
Experience with EPIC EMR
Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
Join a Rehab department with over 20 team members including therapists and aides, supported by on-site administration
Facility orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) plus 3-5 days of departmental orientation depending on experience
Light grey scrubs required per approved facility list
Free parking available on site
First-time travelers will be considered for this role
Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved if the traveler participates in clinical interviewing and extends the contract
No radius rule applies for local candidates in Georgia, with the same rate offered
Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year following a permanent position
