Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Job Description
This is a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED) position at a state-of-the-art facility that manages more than 100,000 visits a year. As one of the busiest trauma centers in the country and the only Level I trauma hospital in the area, you will be responsible for treating a diverse patient population and assisting with boarder patients. Please note that the ED does not support first-time travelers.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
Assess, plan, and implement patient care for diverse populations.
Monitor patient telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition.
Assist with boarder patients effectively.
Schedule
This position operates on a rotating shift schedule, including day, evening, night rotations, weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback duties. Full-time options are available for 36 or 48 hours per week.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Current RN License in New York (NY License ONLY).
Minimum of two (2) years Emergency Department experience.
Telemetry experience is required.
Previous travel Emergency Department experience is mandatory.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY), NIHSS.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
