Provides Network Administrative service support to Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific in support of the Commander, U.Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT).
Travel is not required. Provides technical expertise and direct support as the resident Network Administrator responsible for seamless communication and data flow across organizations and partners. Identifies possible network and system enhancements and develops/executes project plans as directed. Provides primary technical continuity and provides in-depth technical training and guidance to the military and civilian IT personnel. This includes oversight of IT-specific tasks (management and dissemination of IT duties, ensuring work is completed on time, monitoring the status and progress of IT tasks, and providing progress of IT taskers). Researches, plans, and coordinates new devices and technologies installation for foreign partners.
Must haveexperience designing, installing, operating, and maintaining networks. Must have at least three (3) years of experience implementing and supporting a virtual environment (VMWARE, NETAPP, etc.).
